Team work always pays off....
We just had another great weekend with Team Fuji, and some good racing done in YiLan!!!
The stages 4 and 5 of the national series were hold in YiLan area this Saturday and Sunday...The first race lasted 20km including a 13km climb on a beautiful road offering an spectacular view over Yi-Lan.
Even if all Fuji riders stayed in front from the start to avoid problems and eventual crashes, Leo`s rear derailleur was hit and he had to stop for a while to repair and get his chain back on. It is a pity as he is really strong at this period of the year, and would sure have got a great result.
The race itself was more of a "pace ride" where splits, due to the speed up front, broke the bunch apart. It was very short and intense compared to previous races.
The second day was a 40km, two loops circuit, race ; and a 2km climb on the finish line. Thanks to a great work from the team to keep the bunch from chasing, I managed to get second after breaking away. Thanks to Kuma, Leo, Peter and Fan for that! Also hope good recovery for Thunder who crashed in a pile up.
